As part of the task, the building and executive design documentation was developed for the following engineering sectors: railway signalling (SRK), telecommunications, power supply, and traffic management. Subsequently, construction works were carried out at a railway level crossing located on railway line No. 281.
The scope of work encompassed the decommissioning and removal of the existing Category C automatic level crossing signalling system (SSP type SPA 1) and the installation of a new SPA 5 type system for a Category B crossing. The installation included an outdoor equipment cabinet containing control units, barrier machines with barrier arms, LED road traffic signals (including acoustic warning devices), track sensors, level crossing transition indicators, and trackside railway signs. Comprehensive equipment cabling was executed, and the system was integrated into the existing remote monitoring unit (UZK ERP 7) located in the main signal box at Oleśnica station.
The telecommunications scope involved the construction of 2-way and 3-way telecommunication ducting systems along with cable chambers, as well as the installation of a fibre-optic cable and a copper telecommunication cable between the level crossing equipment cabinet and the main signal box. Additionally, a closed-circuit television system (CCTV type TVUZ 1) was deployed, complete with camera masts, cameras, a digital video recorder (DVR), and an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system.
The electrical and power engineering works involved adapting the existing level crossing illumination system to integrate seamlessly with the newly installed level crossing equipment.
The project also involved the implementation of the final road traffic management layout, which included vertical signage and horizontal road markings tailored to the updated crossing classification category. The entirety of the works was concluded with the preparation of as-built design documentation.
The final acceptance of works was completed in October 2024.
