History of SBM

The story of SBM began around the year 2002 with a partnership in the Polish market with Schweerbau. In 2004, SBM was established as a typical construction project management company in the railway industry, implementing projects in Poland for Schweerbau.

Our main business partner had over 70 years of experience in the industry in the European market, especially in Germany. As a family-owned company with a well-established position and long-standing traditions, they had a modern machine park and unique knowledge about cutting-edge technologies in the industry. What they needed in the Polish market were people familiar with the local market and its culture, who wanted to carry out Schweerbau projects in Poland. As a result, SBM is made up of individuals who are currently industry leaders with deep knowledge in all aspects of the railway sector. Many of our employees working on our major projects today began their careers at SBM during their studies. We are proud that they are still with us, fulfilling their professional ambitions.

In collaboration with our partner, we have implemented dozens of projects in Poland, ranging in value from several to several hundred million PLN. In 2018, a joint decision was made that SBM, in addition to activities related to project management for Schweerbau, would start independent contract implementations. Currently, our team has nearly 200 members. This allows us to manage several major projects simultaneously. The thoughtful development strategy that has accompanied us for years has resulted in us currently taking on increasingly ambitious challenges with confidence. Our goal is to introduce modern and efficient technologies to the Polish market to ensure projects are executed efficiently, swiftly, and without deviations from their initial objectives.
