Construction of level crossing facilities on railway line No. 035 Ostrołęka-Szczytno
In mid-December, we successfully completed another project as the General Contractor in the “design and build” system.
The project involved the full scope of work for a railway-road crossing under the task titled: “Construction of Category C level crossing facilities at a Category D railway-road crossing at km 90.422 on railway line No. 035 Ostrołęka-Szczytno.”
The scope of the project included:
- preparation of technical documentation along with traffic organization project,
- construction of the cable network within the crossing and to activating sensors and Top devices,
- installation of level crossing facilities,
- construction of external crossing lighting,
- implementation of level crossing markings,
- activation of the level crossing system along with updating UZK software.
Through the completion of the above-mentioned tasks, the level crossing system was adapted to a scheduled speed of 110 km/h, simultaneously achieving the main goal of the investment, which was to improve the safety of train traffic and road users at the intersection of the railway line with the public road.
